What Is Professional Teeth Whitening?
Professional teeth whitening is a cosmetic treatment designed to brighten your smile to the shade you wish to have. We offer several types of teeth whitening to give you the beautiful smile you deserve.
Drugstore whitening products often don’t produce the results you want. Instead, it leaves your teeth and gums sensitive to hot and cold temperatures. With professional whitening, Dr. Panneton will supervise the entire procedure and ensure you get the results and no sensitivity.
Types of Teeth Whitening
Sinsational Smile
Sinsational smile is an in-office whitening treatment that can brighten up to two to five shades brighter in just 20 minutes. We’ll provide a patented pre-filled silicone tray to conform to your mouth’s shape. From there, we’ll combine the professional-grade whitening gel with LED technology to produce the results patients want to see.
KöR Whitening
If you wish to whiten your teeth in the comfort of your home, we provide KöR, an at-home whitening kit that can brighten your smile up to 16 shades brighter. The KöR at-home whitening kit is safer than any over-the-counter whitening product. Although you’ll see results after a few weeks, they’ll last longer for up to six months or three years after the application.
Opalescence™ Boost™
Opalescence™ Boost™ is another at-home whitening kit we offer at our Nebraska dental offices. This treatment can brighten your smile up to six to eight shades brighter in just one hour. With this treatment, the results are effective, and you don’t have to worry about tooth sensitivity.
The Teeth Whitening Process
The whitening treatment can take two appointments to complete, whether in the office or at home. If you’ve recently had a dental restoration placed, let Dr. Panneton know during your first visit since restorations can’t be whitened.
The first visit is to get impressions of your teeth to customize your tray. For your second appointment, we’ll get started on your procedure, or you’ll receive your at-home whitening trays. If you choose the at-home treatment, your dentist will provide you with more information on performing the treatment yourself.
Before starting the procedure, we’ll thoroughly clean your teeth. From there, Dr. Panneton will take extra steps to protect your gums and teeth by applying a protective layer of resin barriers. We’ll add the whitening gel onto your tray, and you’ll wear the tray for at least 30 minutes to reach your desired shade. If you wish, we can perform an in-office treatment and send you home with one of our at-home whitening kits.
