Werner Park 

Werner Park in Papillion, Nebraska is the home of the Omaha Storm Chasers Triple-A baseball team. The stadium also hosts a variety of special events and community gatherings.

A $2.4 million renovation of the ballpark occurred in 2020 to accommodate USL League One professional soccer club Union Omaha. Modifications include a retractable pitcher’s mound, changes to the right-field foul pole, and a new building in left field. You’ll be glad you read this!

Seating

The modern Werner Park in Papillion offers several unique seating options for fans. From the Sunbelt Bakery Home Run Porch behind left field to picnic areas around the ballpark, there are plenty of places to enjoy a game. In addition, the stadium has one of the best berm areas in the Minor Leagues with nearly 2,000 seats surrounding most of the outfield.

The Park also features a kids’ zone and carousel, which makes it the perfect venue for families to spend the day. Food and beverage options include La Casa Pizzeria, Fireside Barbeque & Grill, and more. The onsite Veridian Credit Union Fan Services kiosk provides assistance with ticketing, merch, and more.

Concessions

The newest ballpark in the Omaha metro area, Werner Park opened in April 2011 and is owned by Sarpy County. It is home to the Omaha Storm Chasers and Union Omaha soccer club, and also hosts many other special events throughout the year, including charity functions, corporate off-site meetings, high school baseball games/camps, concerts, and birthday parties.

The stadium features 6,354 seats, 13 Luxury Suites, 3 Hospitality Tents, a Sun Valley Party Patio, and a Centris Family Fun Zone. It also has an indoor Prairie Flower Casino Club and private boardroom space. The ballpark is also a smoke-free facility, including electronic cigarettes and any other vaporized smoking. Anyone not adhering to this policy will be removed from the park.

Food concessions at the stadium are provided by Ovations, which did a terrific job with the Salt River Fields in Arizona. Parking

The parking options at Werner Park are extensive, and they include a lot and a garage. Fans can also purchase parking as part of their ticket order, or they can visit the box office before a game to pre-purchase a parking pass. Parking is free for season pass holders and children ages 2 and under.

Bag policies at venues are subject to change, so it’s important to check the team’s website or call ahead for specific guidelines for the stadium you’re attending. In general, clear bags are preferred over backpacks. Small purses and hand-held clutches are allowed, as are medical bags for items such as insulin.

Whether you’re a fan of baseball or just a big sports fan, Werner Park is a great place to watch a game. Accessibility

During the game, fans may bring blankets and towels to sit on, but chairs are not allowed. Dogs are welcome to join their owners for specified games, but they must be pre-registered to bypass registration lines on gameday. Dogs must be on leashes and under the owner’s control at all times. Bags are not permitted into the stadium, except for those with medical necessity.
